Build models faster, deliver more for every client

Spend less time fighting software and more time delivering insight. epanet-js helps consultants turn data into trustworthy models fast — while keeping client data private.

Used by engineering consultancies around the world

The value is in the analysis, not the setup

On a project, every hour spent wrangling files, fixing geometry, and setting up the model is an hour the client never sees. The faster you get to a working, trustworthy model, the more of the project goes into the analysis they hired you for.

epanet-js is built to compress setup time and produce reliable, understandable results, so you can take on more projects and deliver each one with confidence.

From data to model in minutes

Getting a new model to its first stable run usually means hours of hunting down disconnects, invalid geometry, and incomplete attributes. epanet-js eliminates that bottleneck. With the Network Review flagging errors on the fly, you can quickly fix bad data, configure your controls, and take a new build from raw GIS to running simulations in a single session.

Calibrated models you can defend

Assisted calibration produces models that match field observations, and it records every decision: the options considered, their likelihood, and why a value was chosen. Your deliverable arrives with a transparent, auditable trail rather than a black-box result.

When a client or a reviewer asks how you arrived at a number, the answer is already documented.

Client data that stays with you

epanet-js operates entirely on your local machine. Projects are created, run, and stored locally, and nothing is uploaded to external servers unless you choose to share it. For IT departments, that means no third-party data risk and an easy security sign-off.

For enterprise workflows, we support regional cloud hosting, bring-your-own-storage, and on-premises installations. Full technical specs are on our security page.

Deliver in the format the client requires

Clients dictate deliverable formats, not your software. epanet-js makes handoffs straightforward: export to standard .inp, push network assets out as Shapefiles, GeoJSON, CSV, or Excel for their GIS team, and export full time-series data directly into report tables.

If a scope requires InfoWater Pro, WaterCAD, or InfoWorks WS Pro, you don't have to stay stuck in those interfaces for the whole project. epanet-js opens their files directly, and our step-by-step guides walk you through moving the model back when it's time to submit. You can build, calibrate, and test options quickly in epanet-js, then hand over the finished deliverable in the platform the client expects.

Tooling that respects your time and your budget

Speed to insight

Get from a client's data to a working model in minutes, so more of your time goes to analysis, not setup.

A modern experience

Undo/redo, satellite basemaps, and instant simulation — the quality-of-life tools that make every project smoother.

Confidential by default

Local-first means sensitive client data stays on your machine, not on someone else's cloud.

Costs that fit the budget

Affordable, per-seat pricing, so software stays a small line on the project rather than a limit on it.

Frequently asked questions

The questions consultants ask most about epanet-js.

Does client data stay confidential?
Yes. epanet-js is built local-first: a client's projects are created, run, and saved entirely on your machine, and nothing is ever uploaded to our servers. Cloud features are entirely opt-in, per project, so confidentiality is the default rather than an add-on. See security.
Can you complete our client's security questionnaire?
We complete security questionnaires for our Enterprise customers. Free and Pro plans are self-service, so to make your own review quick we publish a generic security questionnaire answering the questions utilities and engineering firms ask most often. For the full overview, see the security page.
Can I exchange models with clients on other tools?
Yes, in both directions. Models built in InfoWater Pro, WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, or InfoWorks WS Pro open in epanet-js directly, with their scenarios and custom attributes attached, and standard EPANET .inp files open too. Going the other way, save a standard .inp, export assets as GeoJSON, CSV, Shapefile, or XLSX, or follow our step-by-step guides for taking a model back into each of those packages. Projects save in our own open format when you need features .inp doesn't cover. See model import.
Can I use epanet-js alongside InfoWater or WaterCAD?
Yes, and many consultants do. epanet-js opens their models directly, and we publish step-by-step guides for taking a model back into each platform, so you can do the fast model building and testing in epanet-js and deliver through the tool the client requires. See how they compare: InfoWater Pro, WaterCAD / WaterGEMS, and InfoWorks WS Pro.
How does licensing work for a consultancy?
Teams use shared, per-seat licensing with self-service seat management and invoicing, so you can scale up for a big project and back down afterward. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.
Are the calibrated models defensible?
That's the point of assisted calibration. Every suggested change is recorded with its reasoning and the alternatives considered, so your deliverable comes with a clear, auditable trail. See calibration.
How quickly can I get a new starter productive?
There's nothing to install and the interface is modern, so a new engineer can open a browser and be building a real model the same day, rather than spending a week learning the software's quirks.
